A family at home in Hong Kong
Our Story

Care Global didn't start as a business plan

It started as a bad experience. Before founding the agency, our own family went looking for a domestic helper the way most people do — by calling around to agencies already operating in Hong Kong. What we ran into was inconsistent at best: enquiries that went unanswered for days, agencies that seemed uninterested in understanding what our household actually needed, and more than once, a sense that we simply weren't being taken seriously as clients. It left us wondering how many other families were quietly going through the same thing.

Around the same time, we started learning more about the side of the industry most employers never see. Some agencies were charging helpers placement fees that Hong Kong law doesn't actually permit — pushing people into debt before they'd even started work. Helpers would borrow money to cover these fees, arrive already behind, and sometimes end up in situations that were bad for them and, eventually, for the families relying on them. It's a real driver of contracts breaking down early, and it makes the whole process riskier for everyone involved.

Care Global was built to close both gaps at once: an agency that's genuinely responsive and attentive to every household, regardless of who they are, and one that never charges a helper a placement fee — not a discount, not a reduced rate, nothing. We believe a helper who isn't starting the job in debt is a helper in a far better position to stay, and a family that isn't inheriting someone else's financial pressure is a family better set up to succeed.

Placement fees we charge domestic helpers — not discounted, not deferred, zero.

We believe this single policy prevents more premature contract terminations than almost anything else we do.

Our Values

What guides how we work

Continued Support

The relationship doesn't end at placement — the Smart Package keeps support running long after.
